JULES FOTHERGILL
“I feel passionately about enabling people to help themselves, so they can go on and live their most positive and fulfilled life…”

Prior to training as a Therapist, I worked for 20+ years in the field of Corporate Marketing, working both in Britain and Europe. I worked in the field of Motor manufacturing for much of this time, working for the likes of Honda, Peugeot and Porsche.  This taught me many valuable skills when working and dealing with people, which has proved invaluable in my therapy and coaching work.
EXPERIENCE
I started training back in 2005 and graduated in 2008. Since then I’ve had the priviledge to work for the NHS –  in primary care, HM Prison Service – in open and high security prison, HM Probation Service – working alongside people who have recently been released from prison and Kent Police – working with both officers on the front line of policing, and civilian personnel.  All of these roles have helped shape me into the therapist I am and has given me an incredible insight into the human psyche and what makes people behave the way they do. As a result of this work it has encouraged me to go on and learn more and to specialise in the field of Trauma,  Anxiety and Depression.

QUALIFICATIONS

The start of my Therapy career commenced with an advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling. I then worked toward my formal Accreditation with the BACP which I secured in 2012.  My new interests at that time were working with Couples which saw me complete my PG. Dip. in Couples therapy in 2013.  I then went on to complete my certificate in CBT and my PG. Dip. in Supervision. In 2016 I completed my EMDR training which enabled me to work with clients presenting with PTSD & Trauma. Most recently, I have embarked on training specifically, to work ‘online’ with couples and individuals and I am due to complete this training later in 2020.
